Nominations are also accepted for The Council for
Wisconsin Writers Major Achievement Award ($1,000) recognizing work of outstanding merit by a Wisconsin writer in any genre.
The Major Achievement Award ($1,000), recognizing work of outstanding merit by a Wisconsin writer in any genre, and The Christopher Latham Sholes Award ($500), recognizing a Wisconsin resident for outstanding encouragement and support of Wisconsin writers, are awarded in alternating years. The Christopher Latham Sholes Award will be back in 2009.
