Annual Writing Awards

This year the Council for Wisconsin Writers will sponsor awards competitions with cash prizes in 9 categories, as well as the CWW Major Achievement Award for work of outstanding merit. The Christopher Latham Sholes Award for outstanding encouragement and support of Wisconsin writers will be awarded in alternate years.

All entries must have been published between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.

NOTE: IMPORTANT ADDITION THIS YEAR!

We're pleased to announce that the Council is sponsoring a new contest, the CWW Young Writers Essay Award. This contest is open to all Wisconsin high school students. The goal is to encourage student authors of literary nonfiction and help them develop their writing skills.
